Shawna Carroll-Scabar
B.Sc. (Kin) Registered Kinesiologist
Shawna holds a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and a Certificate in Health and Fitness from Simon Fraser University and is a member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. She has completed numerous post-gradation courses including the Mattheson training program for Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE). Shawna has been working in the field of active rehabilitation since 1995, and incorporated Reactive Rehabilitation in 2001.
Shawna promotes a functional based approach to rehabilitation. Each program is as unique as the individual with the goal of restoring function thru movement. She is active in the promotion of active rehabilitation thru publication, seminars and corporate fitness initiatives.
Paula McCaffrey
B.Sc.OT Paula holds a B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy from the University of British Columbia and is a member of the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia. She has been working in the field of rehabilitation since 1993, starting out in the hospital setting where she gained valuable skills and practical experience in the rehabilitation of neurological conditions and injuries, orthopaedic injuries, multiple traumatic injuries and the elderly.
Paula has been working as a community based Occupational Therapist since 2000. Paula is an activity enthusiast, participating in everything from Boot Camp, running clinics, and Soft Ball to Yoga and Pilates.
Faran Sperling
B.Sc. (Kin) Registered Kinesiologist
Faran holds a B.Sc. in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University and is a member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. She spent 3 years as a sports trainer for lacrosse and rugby, and has been working in the field of active rehabilitation since 2006. She has completed numerous courses in rehabilitation focused on improving the functional ability of the injured client.
Faran loves staying active by going to the gym, walking and hiking; anything that takes her outdoors. She enjoys all sports, and can often be found at GM Place. Go Canucks Go!!
Michelle Mituta
B.Sc. (Kin) Registered Kinesiologist
Michelle holds a B.Sc. in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University and is a member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. She has been an Instructor Trainer (TFL) with BCRPA in Aquatic Fitness and Weight-training modules, conducting BCRPA approved courses. Michelle has been working in the field of rehabilitation since 2001 with 4 years in a clinic setting, and 3 years in community based rehabilitation.
Michelle enjoys staying active including weight-training and karate. Her creative approach to her programming helps her clients achieve their goals.
Crystaleen Obray
B.Sc. (Kin) Registered Kinesiologist
Crystaleen holds a B.Sc. in Kinesiology from the University College of the Fraser Valley (Dean's List) and a diploma in Sports Science from Douglas College. She is a registered member with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. Crystaleen has been working in the field of rehabilitation since 2006, in both a clinic and community based setting. She has experience working with people of all ages and specializes in active exercise rehabilitation, injury rehabilitation as well as core and postural stability training.
Crystaleen has a number of interests such as volleyball, basketball, baseball and weight training. She brings a lot of enthusiasm to her training and is committed to helping people overcome their individual barriers.
